The episode is entitled "The Resurrection in the Remains" and it will see Booth and Brennan as well as Ichabod and Abbie trying to figure out the mystery behind a 200 year old headless corpse.
The two-hour special is Halloween-themed, and the first half is set in the Jeffersonian. It will see Ichabod and Abbie arriving at the forensic lab because they believe the corpse is that of the Headless Horseman.
However, Brennan might not give up her claim on the body so easily.
The official synopsis for the episode reads:
It's Halloween time at The Jeffersonian, as the team gets a surprise visit from newly minted FBI Agent Abbie Mills (guest star Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (guest star Tom Mison), who have traveled from Sleepy Hollow to claim a headless body already under investigation by Brennan and her team. The new foursome must figure out how to work together to discover who the 200-year-old headless corpse is, and how it is linked to a contemporary murder victim. Meanwhile, Booth and Brennan come up with the ultimate Halloween pranks to play on each other.
The episode will explore the dynamics between the foursome, and according to actor Tom Mison, who plays Ichabod, his character won't get along with FBI agent Booth.
"[Booth] gets to throw in all of these subtle insults at Ichabod, who is trying to maintain his manners and respond in front of these two ladies. It makes for quite a nice dynamic," the actor told Entertainment Weekly.
Brennan and Ichabod, too, don't get along because they have similar personalities. According to Mison, the first half of the episode will see both of them constantly trying to one-up each other.
As for Booth and Abbie, their pairing goes off without any problem and they are a perfect fit.
The "Bones" "Sleepy Hollow" crossover will be aired on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. The episode can be watched online through Fox Now.
