Indian Super League franchisee Delhi Dynamos take on Swedish Premier League side BK Hacken at the Bravida Arena in Gothenburg today, and they will be looking to post a good performance against the home side, who stood fifth in the Allsvenskan in the 2014-15 season.
The Dynamos come into the game at the backdrop of a defeat against Varberg BoIS FC at the Påskbergsvallen football stadium, in the first of their preseason games in Sweden earlier this month. Roberto Carlos' side went down fighting 3-1, and former Liverpool star John Arne Riise remained the only goal scorer for the away side.
Riise scored from one of his trademark free-kicks to get a goal for Delhi Dynamos on the day.
For the first-time ever, today's game between Delhi Dynamos and BK Hacken will be streamed Live in the official website of the ISL side.
Meanwhile, Delhi Dynamos announced the signing of Ghanaian forward Richard Gadze yesterday. The 21-year-old has been a part of his national side, which won the West African Football Union (Wafu) Nations Cup in 2013. He mentioned that the reason for choosing the Indian team out of other clubs is because he found the vision of the ISL side to be very appealing.
"There were a lot of clubs interested in me but the project and vision of Delhi Dynamos appealed a lot to me and then it was a very easy decision to make," the 21-year-old said in a statement.
"I am very excited and looking forward to this new experience in my career. To work with some of the biggest names in football like Roberto Carlos, Florent Malouda and John Arne Riise is a dream come true for me" Gadze added.
The Ghanaian was a part of the team roster for local outfit Ebusua Dwarfs, which finished third in the Ghana Premier League in the 2012-13 season. And his signing has been welcomed by Delhi Dynamos marquee player/manager Carlos.
"Gadze is a gifted footballer with good technique, pace, strength and finishing. I am sure he will play an important role for us this season," the Brazil legend said.
BK Hacken vs Delhi Dynamos kicks off today at 9:30 pm IST. The match will be streamed Live from the Bravida Arena on the official website of Delhi Dynamos (free for Indian users only, while international users have to pay nominal charges)
