In the latest episode of "Awkward," Jenna (Ashley Rickards) and Matty's (Beau Mirchoff) friendship gets derailed again. In Season 5 episode 18, Jenna finds herself in one of the lowest points of her life.
The upcoming episode of MTV's dramedy series focuses on Jenna's relationship with Matty. She finds herself happy to be talking to her ex again, but as is usual, she does something damaging. Her ex-boyfriend confronts her at a party and says, "You had no right to do this." Another guest looks at Jenna and says, "You're a real b----."
While it isn't clear what Jenna actually does, it is safe to assume that she and Matty may not talk to each other for a while.
Elsewhere in episode 18, Jenna feels guilty for getting Jake fired. She thinks of several ways to make it up to him and finally decides on a party. "Jake's mad at us for inviting him to our party so let's throw him a party," she says in the promo.
However, things are probably going to go awry for Jenna at the said party. The promo indicates that her tiff with Matty takes place at what's supposed to be Jake's surprise party.
Season 5 episode 18's synopsis (via TV Guide) reads:
Jenna and Matty continue to renew their friendship by tossing a party for Jake, but an Idea Bin post by Jenna threatens to unravel it all.
