After the epic superhero crossover episode with The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow and Supergirl, Arrow season 5 will be back with episode 9 this Wednesday, December 7, at 8pm EST. The winter finale is titled What We Leave Behind and it will end with a shocking twist for Oliver Queen.
The sequel will pick up right from where it left off and continue to feature the evil moves of deadly villain Prometheus. The cliffhanger of episode 7 teased a secret tie-up between Evelyn Sharp and the big badass. Is she a real traitor? Will she betray the mayor of Star City?
The official trailer for the ninth episode features her confession, wherein she reveals that the city needs to be saved from the male protagonist. But why? Creator Marc Guggenheim dropped a hint about it when he stated that she made the decision after her conversion with him towards the end of episode 6.
"If you view the end of 506 and her final scenes with Oliver as, 'Oh, she's lying,' I think you see when she decided to team up with Prometheus," Entertainment Weekly quoted him as saying.
However, to know more about it, the viewers will have to watch the winter finale as Guggenheim revealed that it will end with a shocking twist for Stephen Amell's character. What could it be? The official synopsis states that Felicity Smoak and her detective lover Billy Malone will find a clue that that links Prometheus to Oliver's past.
In the meantime, the deadly villain attacks Curtis Holt a.k.a. Mister Terrific and the male protagonist realises that he knows everything about Team Arrow. It will make him worried about the fate of his friends as he knows that the antagonist will attack them one by one.

Meanwhile, the mid-season premiere episode of the supernatural drama series is titled Who Are You. The title indicates that Oliver or any of his loved ones could have a memory loss when the show returns after a break. But since The CW is yet to release the official synopsis and trailers for the sequel, the fans will have to wait a little longer to know more about it.
