After a week-long break, "Arrow" is back on track, and will air the second part of the "Arrow"-"The Flash" crossover series "Legends of Yesterday".
In Season 2 Episode 8 of "The Flash", which aired on Tuesday, 1 December, we saw Team Flash take Kendra Sander aka Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée) to Star City so Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Team Arrow can protect her from the immortal Vandal Savage (Casper Crump). After fighting him off once, they realise Savage is in Central City and has located the Staff of Horus, a weapon powerful enough to kill Hawkgirl.
With the help of Hawkman (Peter Francis James) and Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) they have learnt more about Savage and are planning to take him down in Central City. In a violent and action-packed promo for "Legends of Yesterday", we hear Savage's voice-over threatening Barry (Grant Gustin) and Oliver, "I will lay waste to this city, killing everyone you hold dear. I will see you dead and buried beneath the bodies of your loved one."
However, this does not seem to scare the new cocky Barry, who seems to have recovered from Zoom's thrashing very well. He counters this eloquent speech with, "Did you rehearse this speech in front of a mirror this morning?"
We see Merlyn, and Oliver by his side, and presumably they were there to work out a peace treaty, and things do not seem to have gone according to Merlyn's plan.
We are also hoping for time travel in the episode, based on the trailer. From 0:03 to 0:04 of the promo we see Diggle (David Ramsey) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) getting burned, whereas 0:04 to 0:05 shows Barry surrounded by the kind of light that shone when he travelled back in time on the previous occasion.
Moreover, the writers have mentioned in the past that time travel can be expected in the episode. The title of the episode, "Legends of Yesterday", may also be a reference to what can be expected.
Watch out for Season 4 Episode 8 of "Arrow" at 8 pm (EST) on Wednesday, 2 December. You can also live-stream "Legends of Yesterday" via CWTV.
