The farewell season of "American Idol" is coming to a close, and the top three contestants will be chosen Thursday, March 31. In three more episodes, the last "American Idol" will be chosen from finalists MacKenzie Bourg, Trent Harmon, Dalton Rapattoni and La'Porsha Renae.
In the upcoming episode, the finalists will sing three songs, the first of which will be chosen by in-house mentor Scott Borchetta. The next song will be chosen by the judges and the last one will be a dedication to their respective hometowns.
In the previous episode, fans saw the contestants singing classic rock songs, following which they sang songs by Sia. The contestants even had the privilege of being coached by Sia. Word has it the singer, known for covering her face with extravagant wigs, even bared her face for the contestants, so they would feel at ease with her.

The episode was spectacular in more ways than one, considering Trent sang in a way judges knew he could all along. Although he was considered a runner-up at best until the previous episode, the Sia week proved he has what it takes to defeat even La'Porsha, the strongest singer among the finalists.
In a poll conducted by International Business Times, India, an overwhelming 1,275 of 1,911 fans said Trent would be the winner of the farewell season of "American Idol." Although IBTimes India predicted La'Porsha would come in second, with 19 percent of the votes going to Dalton, fans reserved that honour for the Tennessee-based vocal coach.
However, MacKenzie was consistently in the fourth place for the poll and fans, leading us to believe he may be eliminated in the episode to be aired Thursday night.
