Chapter 5, which is the fifth episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke, will once again be packed with action as it will see Matt and Shelby being attacked by the colonists. But the duo is not yet ready to vacate the farmhouse as they have invested all their savings in the new home. Could their desire to live on the farmhouse result in their deaths?
The previous episode saw Elia Cunningham, the role essayed by Denis O'Hare, revealing that the spirits turn violent during the Dying Grass Moon, which are the six days of the year before the Blood Moon on October 31, which sadly began that night. All the previous residents of the farmhouse were killed during that time, and it looks like Matt and Shelby are next.
It wouldn't be surprising if the show decided to kill off these characters, as American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy had already revealed that a surprising twist is going to catch people off-guard.
"You'll see starting in Episode 6, the show has a huge turn and the thing that you think you're watching is not what you're watching," Murphy told Entertainment Weekly. "It's a hat on a hat on a hat on a hat that we've had to protect."
Fellow creator Brad Falchuk revealed that the current season could be broken down into three sections: Episodes 1-5, 6-9 and 10. "No matter what you think it is, it's not that," he said. "Episode six comes and you're like, 'Wait! What happened?'"
American Horror Story Season 6 airs Wednesdays on FX. New episodes can be streamed online on Fxnetworks.com.
