The latest season of CBS' "The Amazing Race" is all set to premiere on Feb. 12 and for the first time in the history of the show, the race will consist of most famous social media celebrities. Fans are eagerly waiting to find out who will be trending on social media once the race ends.
In the premiere episode titled "I Should've Been a Boy Scout," the 11 teams will move to Mexico City, Mexico, once the race starts from the United States. All team members will fly to Mexico City from their respective homes.
As stated by CBS, the 11 teams will comprise of best friends Tyler and Korey – the famous YouTubers, Erin White Robinson and Joslyn Davis – hosts of YouTube channel "Clevver," Sheri and Cole LaBrant – Vine personalities and Marty Cobb and her daughter Hagan Parkman who are known for their viral videos.
Another team of father and daughter duo namely Scott and Blair Fowler will be also joining the cast soon. Like Tyler and Korey, they are also renowned YouTubers.
Vine stars and blood brothers Cameron and Darius will compete in the race too along with Pro Frisbee players Kurt Gibson and Brodie Smith, who are famous on YouTube too.
Other team members are newly married couple Zach and Rachel King, Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina, who are engaged to each other and dating gamers Burnie and Ashley, who also host "Rooster Teeth."
Instagram stars and professional models Jessica Versteeg and Britanny Oldehoff will join the cast and race against the other teams in the upcoming season, too.
Carter Matt has reported that the 11 teams will have to race for a week without their smart phones as they all are technology-dependent. The website also hinted that as there are some prominent celebrities taking part in the race, there will be big events and activities to happen.
