Earlier, on Bhogi Day, the makers of "Rudhramadevi" released a new poster of the actor much to the delight of the fans. The poster received fantastic response from the fans and the new video journal is likely to create waves on the online platform
Allu Arjun fans are eagerly looking forward to the film as he is playing a warrior for the first time in a historic drama flick. The actor himself has expressed happiness on being a part of the film. "I remember Gunasekhar telling me about Gona Ganna Reddy character when shooting for Varudu (2010). "It's a great role and a landmark film, being India's first 3D stereoscopic movie. I loved being part of it and am eagerly looking forward to it," Arjun told The Times of India.
There are huge expectations from "Rudhramadevi" thanks to the impressive first look posters and making video journals that have been occasionally released by the film's team. The film, deemed as India's first 3D stereoscopic film, revolves around Rudhramadevi, a 13th century queen, who ruled the Kakatiya dynasty.
Anushka Shetty plays the titular role, while Rana Daggubati, Krishnam Raju, Catherine Tresa, Prakash Raj, Nithye Menen, Krishnam Bhagwan and Brahmanandam are also part of the film's cast. Music maestro Ilayaraja has composed the songs, while cinematography is handled by Ajayan Vincent and editing is done by Sreekar Prasad.
Produced by the film's director Gunasekhar, "Rudhramadevi" is reportedly being made with a huge budget. The makers have used real gold jewellery worth ₹5 crore for Anushka's character. It is said to be the only Indian film next to Hrithik Roshan's "Jodha Akbar" to have used real gold jewellery.
The shooting of "Rudhramadevi" is wrapped up and is currently in the post-production stage. The film is expected to hit the screens as a summer treat for the fans, but there is no official confirmation in this regard.
