Throw in a bit of murder mystery, infidelity, heartbreak, complex characters and you have "The Affair." Showtime's drama series, which premiered two weeks ago with season 2, has left fans with a whodunit murder of Scott Lockhart and the prime suspect is Noah Solloway (Dominic West), one of the protagonists of the show.
In episode 3 of "The Affair," New York based writer, Noah talks about his relationship with Scott. In a fit of anger, he tells his lawyer that he wanted to kill Scott Lockhart for impregnating his underage daughter, Whitney. Nevertheless, Noah states that he is not guilty because he didn't do it. Furthermore, he states that he ran over a deer that night and the blood stains are from the accident. Although Noah's lawyer appears to be on his side, episode 2 hinted that things go awry for the writer.
Furthermore, episode 3 also hints at Noah and Allison's (Ruth Wilson) relationship. Noah, who leaves his wife and kids for Allison, deals with a divorce and a new relationship. As conflicting and confusing as that sounds, Noah's daughter, Whitney visits them at their upstate New York cabin and upsets whatever little happiness Noah and Allison have tried to establish.
Whitney, the pregnant teenager, spots a ring on Allison's finger and lambasts her father for proposing to Allison.
While Allison questions her relationship with Noah, the writer is haunted by flashes of the accident in Montauk. In the promo, he remembers driving really fast and colliding into someone.
"The Affair" season 2 episode 3 airs on Sunday, 18 October at 10pm on Showtime. You can live stream the episode via Showtime Anytime.
