The Tamil and Telugu version of "Dhoom 3" trailer was released on 30 October, but it does not reveal much about the storyline.
The slick and stylish video begins with a child performing tricks, and he apparently turns into a magician, taking over his father-cum-mentor played by Jackie Shroff.
Aamir Khan then makes an entry as "clown thief" Sahir, who works in a circus as well as commits robbery. Aamir is shown running down a sky scraper and performing other death-defying stunts in the 2 minute 46 second long video. He commits robbery and leaves his signature message, joker mask at every site.
Aamir plays the antagonist in this new version of the "Dhoom" franchise. While John Abraham was the baddie in "Dhoom", Hrithik Roshan appeared in a similar character in "Dhoom 2."
Abhishek Bachchan is back playing the role of ACP Jai Dixit, who is on the lookout for the thief. Uday Chopra once again reprises his role of Abhishek's sidekick Ali.
Katrina Kaif is the new "Dhoom" girl in the third installment of the popular franchise. She dons the role of Aaliya, an acrobat expert. The gorgeous actress has shed her barbie doll image and appears to perform stunts with Aamir.
"Dhoom 3" trailer has generated a lot of expectations among fans, but It remains to be seen if the film will be able to live up to the hype.
The action-thriller is written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and is produced by Aditya Chopra. The film is all set to hit the screens on 20 December, a few days ahead of Christmas. It is not clear if the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions of the film will release simultaneously with the Hindi version. Considering the fact that the dubbed versions of "Dhoom 2" have fetched good collections, the third installment "Dhoom 3" is also expected to take a good opening at Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh box office.
