It was earlier reported that Aamir Khan was offered the lead role in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" before Salman Khan. However, director Kabir Khan has now rubbished such reports and said they were rumour.
At a recent event Kabir Khan stated that Aamir Khan was never approached for the role of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". "I had never gone with the script of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' to Aamir," Pinkvilla quoted Kabir Khan as saying.
Earlier, it was reported that the writer of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", KV Vijayendra Prasad, first offered the script to Aamir Khan and later to Hrithik Roshan. Both the actors reportedly could not accommodate dates for the film and hence, Salman Khan was later roped in for the role.
Also, it should be mentioned that at a press conference held for the success of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", Salman Khan was asked if the reports of Aamir Khan being offered the film first are true or not. "Yes, Aamir told me that KV Vijayendra Prasad had come to him and he sent him to me. So, this is just Aamir Sahab's generosity," India Today quoted Salman Khan as saying.
Nevertheless, Kabir Khan refuted the reports and hinted that the role of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was tailor-made for Salman Khan.
After the success of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", Salman Khan is prepping for his upcoming movie "Sultan", in which he will be seen as a wrestler. Co-incidentally, Aamir Khan will also play the role of real-life wrestler Mahavir Phogat in his upcoming film "Dangal".
