Sidharth Malhotra has paired up with Katrina Kaif in "Baar Baar Dekho", but the latest buzz suggests that Aamir Khan was supposed to romance the actress in the film.
It has been reported that Aamir was initially offered the role opposite Katrina in the movie. The "Dangal" actor had liked the script and was ready to be part of the film but could not bag it due to date issues, according to Mid-Day.
The report also said that later Sidharth was roped in for the project and the title of the film was also suggested by the young actor. This is the first time that Sidharth and Katrina will be seen sharing the screen space. Aamir and Katrina had worked together earlier in "Dhoom 3."
Directed by Nitya Mehra, "Baar Baar Dekho" is a romantic film with a time-travel concept. The trailer of the film had received good response from the audience and there is much hype around the movie. Songs from the flick have also been liked by the fans.
Meanwhile, Aamir is ready to share screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in "Thug." Big B has reportedly confirmed the news and it has got fans very excited about the project. Reports also suggest that the title "Thug" might be changed.
On the other side, "Baar Baar Dekho" was in a controversy when it was reported that the censor board had asked the makers of the film to edit out a brasserie scene and a reference to comic porn character Savita Bhabi.
While a lot was being said about the recommended cuts, the director had later said that there was no such scene in the film and thus, there were no such recommendations from the CBFC. The film was passed with UA certificate and is slated to be released on Sept. 9.
