Here's some good news for Indians whose jobs in United Arab Emirates (UAE) keep them from visiting their parents in India, and want them to come live with you. The UAE government has come up with new regulations that make it easy for UAE expatriates to get resident visa for their parents.
Indians with US visa will get UAE visa on arrival from May 1
Who can avail the visas
All UAE expatriates, holding a valid resident visa with a minimum salary of Dh 20,000 (Rs 3 lakh) or a monthly pay of Dh 19,000 and a two-bedroom accommodation can get a one-year renewable resident visa for their parents or parents-in-law.
Children can sponsor both parents by showing proof that they are the sole earning member of the family and that there is no one to take care of the parents in their home country.
Expatriates whose parents are either divorced or one has expired have to carry documentary proof when visiting the UAE's Department of Naturalisation and Residency Dubai (DNRD) to obtain the entry permit visa.
The parents will get entry into the country on the permit visa while the resident visa will be issued within 60 days from their date of entry.
