Rick and gang got a small victory against Negan in the Season 7 finale. But the war is just beginning and the entire Season 8 is expected to focus on Rick and his allies' efforts to remove Negan as a threat to mankind.
Filming for Season 8 has commenced in Georgia, and The Spoiling Dead Fans, a dedicated forum for all The Walking Dead spoilers, has given fans a glimpse of Season 8 episode 1. According to them, Andrew Lincoln and Chandler Riggs, the actors who play Rick and Carl, have been spotted on set in the first three days of filming.
The spoiler forum also managed to get details of two scenes involving the father-son duo.
Rick and Carl were the only characters confirmed filming. They filmed a scene together where they were walking around the cars at the gas station lot. There were also a couple of walkers. Gunshots were heard.
A scene was witnessed where Carl got out of the "bird van" (aka Rick & Michonne's mobile love nest) and then starts walking around with a gas canister.
Last month, Riggs took to his Twitter page to share excitement about the upcoming season, and revealed that the season 8 premiere was going to cause a lot of chatter.
"Just finished reading 801 of twd and oooo man it's good," he wrote, adding, "but tbh the coolest part of every year for me is between the airing of the season finale and getting the first script of the new season."
Details about the upcoming season are scarce, but Khary Payton, the actor who essays King Ezekiel, took to his Instagram page to share a photograph from The Walking Dead Season 8. Check it out below:
