One of the major characters on "The Walking Dead" is already dead; we just don't know which one. And there's a long wait till the show returns in October for that question to be answered. What we do know for certain is who's not dead, and that's Gabriel.
Gabriel stayed behind in Alexandria as Rick & group met up with Negan and The Saviors. While the character escaped the brutal and deadly villain's attack, actor Seth Gilliam (who plays Gabriel) has teased that the shock and heartbreak is far from over.
Speaking to Toofab during a recent expo, Gilliam said: "I can say from the little bit that I do know about the upcoming season, there will be lots and lots of tears shed. I think there will be a good deal of shock, a lot of heartbreak and what I can say is that Negan is far from done."
Addressing fan outrage over "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale cliffhanger ending, Gilliam admitted he was "a little shocked" by the reaction ..."but not so much." The actor said: "I'm not such a big fan of cliffhangers myself," adding: "But in this particular case, I think it's great storytelling."
Meanwhile, filming for Season 7 of the popular zombie drama is officially confirmed to begin on May 2. The Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page posted a filming update on April 29.
"For the past couple days the wonderful crew has been hard at work prepping the filming site over in Hampton. The logs are back in place and got lit up! Just to refresh your memory this is the same location from the finale where the Saviors blocked the road with the burning logs and hung the man off the bridge."
"The Walking Dead" Season 7 is expected to premiere in October 2016. The first trailer for the new season should be released in July during the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con. But there has been no official confirmation on that front yet.
