There are still months to go before season 6 of "The Walking Dead" premieres on AMC, but rumours on who would be the first casualty of the season have already hit the Internet.
Season 6 will introduce a number of new characters and two of them, named Kirk and Hilda, are not expected to last beyond season 6.
So who are Kirk and Hilda? According to a casting call description, Kirk is believed to be in his mid-20s to 30s and is described as "a young, blue collar everyman from a small town, who worked a job, was married, and followed the golden rule." But things took a turn for the worse after the zombie apocalypse. Until recently, "he's avoided being cynical and bottom line-minded—but the world seems to keep telling him to look out for number one and eliminate anyone in his way."
Meanwhile, his wife Hilda is described as a strong woman who can hold her own.
The characters are yet to be cast and TVLine's Michael Ausiello revealed in his weekly spoiler column that whoever plays the role of Hilda won't be seen in the next season. "Whoever's hired for the recurring role has to be available for future seasons - but there's no such requirement placed on the actresses vying for the part of his wife, Hilda," Ausiello wrote, adding that losing his wife is expected to push Kirk over the edge.
"The Walking Dead" will return to AMC in October and the first few episodes are believed to be walker heavy. According to a 15 June post on The Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page, the gang recently shot a scene that saw Andrew Lincoln's Rick being chased by a ton of walkers.
Reportedly, Rick could be heard yelling "open the gate" and "open the gate, now!", following which the squeal of a gate being opened could be heard. In yet another post, the spoiler forum noted that photos from the Safe Zone showed more than 60 walkers at the main gate.
