"The Walking Dead" has been on a mid-season break since it aired Season 6 Episode 8 "Start to Finish" on Sunday, 29 November, 2015. The fans' sadness in not being able to watch new episodes of "TWD" is multiplied by the fact that a beloved character may die when the show returns with Episode 9 "No Way Out" on Sunday, 14 February.
In the previous episode, fans saw that Daryl (Norman Reedus), Abraham (Michael Curdlitz) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) ran into the armed group Saviors – whom Daryl had previously escaped from. They declared that all of their possessions now belong to someone called Negan. It is clear from how they have ended the episode that one of the main characters has to die, in order for Abraham to retrieve their weapons and take out the Saviors.
Most fans believe that unfortunately the person that might end up dead would be Daryl, especially because Norman Reedus, the actor who plays Daryl, has a new show called "Ride With Norman Reedus" coming up on AMC. Reports also suggest that he has sold his house in Georgia, which is where most of "The Walking Dead" shooting occurs.
Here is a theory that an avid fan, Carol B Perez, wrote on "The Walking Dead" Facebook page: "Think Daryl gets shot by the Savior dude, Abraham makes it to the truck and gets an RPG, takes out the rest of the group on the highway except one who goes back and tells Negan about the group that shot them up. Giving Negan the reason to head for Alexandria."
Meanwhile, a new teaser for the upcoming episodes of "The Walking Dead" suggests that Sam and his group will be in grave danger. In the promo we see them trying to blend in with the sea of walkers, as Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) calming voice tells them not to draw any attention to themselves lest the walkers realise they are fresh meat ready for consumption.
