Episode 3 of "The Walking Dead" featured the death of a main character that has fans all riled up.
Spoilers from season six of 'The Walking Dead' follow:
Sunday's episode of the zombie apocalypse drama entitled "Thank You" saw Glenn apparently dying trying to protect a group of people. The last we saw Glenn, he was screaming on the ground surrounded by a massive herd of walkers.
Although he seemed dead, viewers did not actually see him die before Nicholas' body landed on top of him. And this has given viewers a slight hope that Glenn might still be alive.
Fans have also come up with important evidence to suggest that Glenn could still be alive.
Here are a few:
- Glenn not being featured in Talking Dead Memoriam and actor Steven Yeun was not featured as a special guest on the show.
- The Spoiling Dead Fans sources have spotted Yeun on set filming
- Also, at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Yeun said that Glenn's death would serve a purpose. "The way that we make the show — the writers and everybody really want to focus on making things poignant and purposeful and meaningful. So if it were for Glenn to go, then it's probably going to be awesome," Yeun said at the time. But the way he was shown dying was neither purposeful nor poignant.
So if Glenn isn't dead, who saves him from the walkers? According to a popular fan theory posted on The Spoiling Dead Fans, Enid might come to his rescue.
Here's what one fan wrote: "Gets saved by Enid. Plus they have mentioned that you will be relieved to see her sometime during this season... Glenn's rescue is a damn good guess. Therefore gaining fandom.. That would be a way."
The official synopsis for "Here's Not Here" doesn't reveal much about what's in store for Glenn, but it does hint at the introduction of a new character who might spell trouble.
"A new face appears; trust issues form," the summary reads.
"The Walking Dead" is aired Sundays on AMC.
