With the introduction of the Hilltop and Saviors in "The Walking Dead" Season 6, the lives of a few characters from the core group are in danger.
There are just two more episodes before the grand season finale, and it won't be surprising if several characters from Rick's group meet the same fate as their counterparts in Robert Kirkman's comics.
One casualty could be Abraham, who originally dies in issue 98 of the comics. Filming spoilers reveal Episode 16 will contain events from issue 100, and Abraham could die before Negan makes his appearance.
How does Abraham die? In the comics, he is shot in the head by Dwight, a member of Negan's gang, in retaliation for Rick and gang killing a few Saviors.
Another character who is not safe is Glenn, who Negan beats to death with his barbed-wired baseball bat. However, a section of fans are hoping Glenn will make it to the next season, as "The Walking Dead" spent a good part of Season 6 on Glenn's fake death storyline.
Fans point out the show wouldn't be cruel enough to kill off Glenn so soon after making them falsely believe he was eaten alive by zombies.
On the other hand, "The Walking Dead" loves shocking finales, and killing off a few fan-favourite characters would be the way to go with a bang.
Daryl is another character whose death is predicted every season. He is a fan favourite and doesn't have a storyline in the comic books, making it easy to kill him off.
The plot synopsis for the upcoming episode does not reveal much about what's in store for these characters.
Next Sunday's episode is titled "The Same Boat," and the summary, according to Wikia, reads: "With no hope of safety in Alexandria, Rick and his band of survivors soon discover a larger world with new dangers and new opportunities."
"The Walking Dead" airs Sundays on AMC.
