This Friday's release Wajah Tum Ho, starring Sana Khan, Sharman Joshi, Rajneesh Duggal and Gurmeet Choudhary, has received mixed-to-negative reviews from critics. The film, directed by Vishal Pandya, is an erotic crime thriller.
The story of the film revolves around a murder that is broadcast live on television. Joshi plays the role of an inspector who investigates the murder case; Khan and Choudhary play the role of lawyers, while Duggal plays the role of the owner of the TV channel that airs the murder live.
While the storyline sounds interesting, the film has failed to impress the critics. Several critics have given less than two stars and called it a funny film. News18 critic said that the film is unintentionally funny, while the Hindustan Times critic said that the film is "like an onion, you peel more, you cry more."
Read below what critics have said about Wajah Tum Ho:
Rohit Vats of Hindustan Times said: "In between the court scenes, you also get to hear dialogues such as 'Aaj iss bhatakti khusbu ko thikana de do' and 'Ye case nahi, pyaaz hai'. I so agree with the second one. This is indeed like an onion. The more you peel it, more you cry."
Surabhi Redkar of Koimoi said: "Wajah Tum Ho could be a fun watch with your friends for its terrible execution. Of course, during demonetisation times, you may not want to spend on this cash."
Udita Jhunjhunwala of Firstpost said: "During a court hearing, Siya describes the case against Oberoi as "baseless and logicless" [sic]. She could well have been talking about the script."
Rohit Bhatnagar of Deccan Chronicle said: "The reviewer feels that there is not a single 'Wajah' to watch Wajah Tum Ho this weekend."
Kriti Tulsiani of News18 said: "Wajah Tum Ho doesn't really have much to offer – not in terms of acting, screenplay or even direction. It's only an elaborated version of 'what's happening?'"
