The makers of Wajah Tum Ho have postponed the release date of the movie. The erotic thriller that was supposed to hit the screens on December 2, will now be released on December 16.
Director Vishal Pandya took to Twitter and announced that the movie Wajah Tum Ho will be released on December 16. Earlier, the film starring Sana Khan, Gurmeet Choudhary, Rajniesh Duggall and Sharman Joshi was set to have a box office clash with Kahaani 2.
Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani 2 will be released on its schedule date of December 2. While it is being assumed that the current cash crisis due to demonetisation is the reason behind the postponement of Wajah Tum Ho release, some are also assuming that the makers decided to avoid the box office clash with Kahaani 2.
However, exact reason behind the change in release date is not yet confirmed. Earlier, Sana told International Business Times, India that the box office clash with Vidya's Kahaani 2 would not affect her film's collection.
"I don't think it will affect the box office collection of Wajah Tum Ho. I believe both the films have their own audience. We are bringing something new in Bollywood. It's a sci-fi film and treatment of the film is of international standard. While it is a fast-paced thriller, songs are also very nice in it," Sana had told IBT when asked if the clash will hamper the business of the erotic murder mystery.
Nevertheless, Wajah Tum Ho is now set to have a solo release as there are no other big releases on December 16. However, two big Bollywood movies will hit the screens one week before and after the release of Vishal's Wajah Tum Ho.
Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor's Befikre will be released on December 9. Aamir Khan's Dangal will be out on December 23.
