Volvo V40 R-Design, the modified version of Volvo V40, took off its wraps ahead of the Paris Motor Show scheduled on Sept 27.
The dynamic and the enthralling Volvo V 40 R-design from Volvo Car Corporation comes with a dazzling Rebel Blue colour and packs in a silk-metal front grille frame.
"The V40 R-Design is designed around the performance minded individual with a passion for those things that add extra spice to life", claimed Lex Kerssemakers, Volvo's senior vice president of product strategy, at the launch. "The meticulous attention to detail covers the expressive design as well as the agile, precise performance."
Volvo V40 is branded with the part-leather upholstery and is upgraded with the adaptive xenon headlights with headlight cleaning system, rain sensor and cruise control systems. It comes with the regular 115PS diesel and 254PS petrol engines. The vehicle's specially designed interactive dashboard will give the user a unique experience of 'Elegance, Eco and Performance' layout. A set diamond-cut five-spoke wheels, available in 17-inches or 18-inches give the new Volvo a complete sophisticated exterior.
"Inside, the new generation R-Design seats and interior details emphasize the distinctive Scandinavian design aura of the all-new V40. R-Design appeals especially to customers that love active driving and a personal, expressive design. We have talked to them a lot to ensure that every single detail contributes to the individualistic, refined expression they desire," said Lex Kerssemakers.
First unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Volvo V40 was claimed as the safest car by the European New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP). The model which is developed with Polestar will offer all the engines, starting with the D2 turbo diesel with 113 BHP and ending with the T5 with 250 BHP.
With the launch of Volvo V40 R-Design, Volvo expects to fortify the sales volume of the company's product to around 10 percent of all V40 buyers.
