Swedish car maker Volvo launched the T6 variant of its S60 in India on Friday (3 July).
The new S60 T6 petrol model has been priced at ₹42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes powered by 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns out a maximum power output of 306bhp and 400Nm. The transmission duties in new S60 T6 sedan are done by an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The new S60 engine has a capacity to attain 100Km/h in just 5.9 seconds and can go up to 230Km/h.
The model, which will take on the likes of BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, follows the style and design of its diesel sibling and houses features like Anti-Lock Brakes with Emergency Brake Assistance (ABS with EBD), LED daytime running lights, dual-stage driver and co-driver airbags, side airbags, electric sunroof and four-slat front grille.
The Volvo S60 T6 Petrol will be brought to India as Completely Built Units (CBUs). This is the second model of Volvo to get petrol version in India after V40 Cross Country.
Priced at ₹27 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) Volvo V40 Cross Country petrol gets 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which can generate 185PS of power and 240Nm peak torque and come mated to six-speed automatic transmission.
