Volvo Auto India will pull the wraps off its new S60 T6 petrol model in India on 3 July.
The model, which was being sold in the country with a different engine, will now hit the road with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns out a maximum power output of 306bhp and 400Nm.
The earlier model was powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder engine with 304bhp power and 440Nm torque.
The transmission of power to the front wheels will be taken care of by an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The new S60 engine has a capacity to attain 100Km/h in just 5.9 seconds and can go up to 230Km/h.
The expected features of Volvo S60 include electronic climate control system, a sunroof, leather seats, power-adjustable seats, leather seats, active bending headlights, LED daytime running lights and park assist.
In India, new Volvo S60 T6 is likely to take on the likes of BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The car will be brought to India via the CBU route and is likely to be priced at around ₹33 lakh.
