It looks like Volkswagen's Vento is getting ready for a facelift in the country. If recent reports are to be believed, Volkswagen is testing its Vento facelift in India and one of the test mules of the same has been caught on camera.
MotorBeam managed to snap a test mule of Volkswagen, which is believed to be the facelifted avatar of the Vento, on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway while undergoing test runs in the country. In the images, the supposedly test mule of Vento facelift was seen partially camouflaged. However, it is difficult to figure out the exact styling changes made to the new avatar of Vento.
From what we hear, Vento facelift will stick very much to the company's design language, but will house changes in the front and rear profiles. The interior of the model is also expected to get few changes.
Under the hood, the facelift of Vento is likely to carry over the same 1.5-litre diesel engine, which can churn out 103.5bhp power @ 4,400rpm and 250Nm of peak torque @ 1,500-2,500rpm with five-speed manual transmission and seven-speed DSG automatic and 1.2-litre TSI and 1.6-litre MPI engines, which powers the existing model.
Going by the words of the original publisher of the spy shots, the new Volkswagen Vento facelift is likely to make its market debut during the festive season this year.
