It appears like the special edition of Volkswagen Polo hatchback is getting ready to come to the Indian market. In what seems like a good news about the launch of the special-edition car, called the Polo Allstar, a prototype of the model was spotted in the country.
AutoCar India has shared an image of what is believed to be the Volkswagen Polo Allstar, indicating the arrival of the model in the country soon. Volkswagen Polo Allstar, which was first showcased in December last year is being introduced to promote the 2016 UEFA European Championship football tournament. The Polo Allstar also appeared at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
Powering the Volkswagen Polo Allstar special edition in the international market is a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine paired to a six-speed manual gearbox. Considering that the model the prototype spotted in India wore TDI badge, the car is likely to come with 1.5-litre diesel engine, paired to either five-speed manual transmission or the seven-speed DSG.
The Volkswagen Polo Allstar features headlamp washers, fog lamps, new alloy wheels and Allstar stickers on the B-pillar. The India-bound model of the special edition is also likely to come equipped with the same features.
