"The Voice" USA 2015 (Season 9) week 4 results will shock many as one of the most talented artistes of Season 9 was sent home on Tuesday. We are talking about Evan McKeel of Team Pharrell whose performance of "Smile" by Nat King Cole in the Live Shows won him praises from the judges.
But as fate has it, Evan was placed in the bottom two along with Korin Bukowski of Team Gwen, which meant he had to perform again for survival. He took on Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" for Twitter Instant Save but was voted out.
Does Evan deserve to be in the bottom two? No. Some contestants had their moments in the Live Shows week 4 but many failed to live up to the expectations. There were artistes like Barrett Baber, Zach Seabaugh and Braiden Sunshine who should have been in the bottom two and not Evan if Monday's performance was anything to go by.
It was justified for Korin Bukowski, who was in the bottom two last week, to get less public votes after her shaky performance of Mandy Moore's "Only Hope" but her rendition of "She Will Be Loved," by Maroon 5 pulled her off again. It was a bold move to sing the song in front of Adam Levine, the original singer, and maybe that helped her.
Well, Evan McKeel's elimination has left Pharrell Williams with only one artiste while his co-coaches, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have three contestants each in their respective teams.
Here is the list of "The Voice" USA 2015 top 10 finalists:
Team Gwen: Korin Bukowski, Braiden Sunshine, Jeffery Austin
Team Pharrell: Madi Davis
Team Adam: Shelby Brown, Amy Vachal, Jordan Smith
Team Blake: Barrett Baber, Zach Seabaugh, Emily Ann Roberts
