"The Voice" USA Season 9 is all set to kick off with the first blind audition to be premiered on 21 September on NBC. Audience can participate in the show in a new way this time around using The Voice Official App.

Viewers can play along, vote, save their favourite artists and build their own fantasy team of five once the blind auditions begin. They can also drop and add artists to their team throughout the competition.

"Build your Voice fantasy team as you watch, and then manage your roster during the season to earn points," said a statement by NBC. "Starting with battles, see leaderboards for your Facebook friends and for all players nationally."

The Voice Official App is now available for free download on NBC website. 

Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams will return to the show as coaches for season 9 too. However, Christina Aguilera will be replaced by Gwen Stefani, who had a stint in the show as a judge in the past. Carson Daly will return as the host.

Rihanna will replace Taylor Swift as key advisor to all coaches and contestants for season 9. Selena Gomez will be an advisor for Team Gwen, John Fogerty for Team Adam, Braid Paisley for Team Blake, and Missy Elliott on Team Pharrell.

"The Voice" USA (2015) Season 9 will kick start at 8pm. ET/PT on 21 September with the premiere of Blind Auditions. It will be telecasted on NBC.
