Blind auditions will continue when "The Voice" returns for yet another brand new episode on Monday where the four judges – Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams – continue building their season 9 teams.

A number of surprises are in store for the judges as well as viewers in the upcoming episode, and the promo for Monday's episode, which will kick off week 2 of blind auditions, even teases a Voice first.

Based on the little info available on "The Voice" Twitter page, it's going to be a proposal. "If you like #TheVoice, then you better watch someone put a (ring) on it this week!" the tweet reads.

The proposal is expected to happen shortly after a couple of auditions for a place in the ninth season of the singing reality show.

"How long have you guys been performing together?" judge Stefani asks the pair, and the next shot is that of the shocked expressions on the coaches' faces as the family of the contestants cheers.

Based on the promo, it looks like one of the contestants auditioning will be someone Shelton is familiar with.

Week one of "The Voice" highlighted the emotional backstories of a number of contestants, and one of the favourites was Joseph Bommersbach, aka "Blind Joe." He performed a country song for his audition and received a four-chair turn from the judges. Not surprisingly, Joe chose Shelton as his coach.

"The doctors told my parents there was a 98% chance I wouldn't make it, and if I did make it, I would be severely multi– handicapped," Joe said. However, he did survive and because his retinas did not attach, Joe was born completely blind.

Joe did not let this handicap stand in the way of his musical career.

"The Voice" airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. A live stream of the blind auditions is available on NBC.com, provided the viewer has a subscription with a participating television provider.
