"The Voice" US Season 8 Blind Auditions part 2 is all set to kick off in a couple of hours' time. The second episode will kick off at 8:00 pm EST on Tuesday on NBC Television (6.30 am IST, Wednesday) and live streamed online on NBC's official website.
Expectations on the Blind Auditions episode 2 are huge following a titillating start on Monday with nine of the 11 participants making it to next round.
The first episode of "The Voice" US Season 8 Blind Auditions was premiered on Monday with Carson Daly returning as host. Coaches - Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams – returned to the show, while Christina Aguilera, who was in the initial seasons of the show, has replaced Gwen Stefani.
Blake Shelton and Pharrell Williams got themselves three contestants each on the first day of the Blind Auditions, Christina Aguilera got two, while Adam Levine ended up empty-handed despite turning for over half-a-dozen participants.
On Monday, Sarah Potenza who sang "Stay With Me" by The Faces, got all the four coaches turn around but he joined Team Blake. Lowell Oakley performed Duke Ellington's "Don't Get Around Anymore" and he chose Pharrell over Adam.
Pharrell, Adam and Christina pushed their buttons for Rob Taylor, who sang "I Want You" by Luke James, but Christina managed to convince him to join her team. Cody Wickline got all four chairs turned with his performance of "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones, and he joined Team Blake. Then Treeva Gibson performed Lana Del Ray's "Young and Beautiful," and she chose Christina over Blake.
Meghan Linsey was the next to hit the stage. She performed Nazareth's "Love Hurts," making Pharrell, Christina and Adam turn their chair. She chose Pharrell as her coach. Joshua Davis made Adam and Blake to push their buttons with his performance of "I Shall Be Released" by Bob Dylan. He joined Team Blake. Sawyer Fredericks was the last contestant to qualify for the next round. He won the hearts of all the coaches with his rendition of sang "I'm A Man Of Constant Sorrow." He surprised many by opting for Pharrell as his coach.
However, it was an unlucky day for Ivonne Acero, Mason Henderson, and Bryce Sherlow, as they could not make it to the next round despite giving good performances.
