"The Voice" US Season 8 Battle Round 2 will kick off on Tuesday with three pairs having performed on Monday. More contestants will hit the stage tonight with the hope of impressing their coaches - Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams, and Christina Aguilera.
The Battle Round is interesting, as each coach has to pair their own team members to take on each other but can choose only one from each pairing, while the rejected contestant can be stolen by other rival coaches.
"The Voice" US Season 8 Battle Round 2 will be telecast at 8:00 pm EST on Tuesday on NBC Television (6.30 am IST, Wednesday) and it will be live streamed online on NBC's official website.
As revealed in the "The Voice" USA 2015 teaser on YouTube, Brian Johnson and Joshua Davis from Team Blake took on the song, "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" by Dylan on Tuesday. It was a very good rendition, giving their coach a hard time. Blake finally chose Brian. However, keeping his word that the rejected candidate of the pairing would be stolen by one of the coaches, Adam pushed his steal button for Joshua.
Mia Z and Ashley Morgan of Team Pharrell were the first pair to hit the stage on Tuesday. They sang the song, "Put the Gun Down" by ZZ Ward and it was a very good performance. Pharrell had a hard time picking the contestant who should remain in his team. He chose Mia but all the other three coaches pressed their steal buttons. Ashley joined Team Christina.
Tonya Boyd-Cannon and James McNeice of Team Adam took on the song "P.Y.T." by Michael Jackson and it was a good rendition. Adam praised both the singers but he picked James at the end and Tonya left the show.
More contestants, including singers from Team Christina will take the stage on Tuesday night though pairings are not known yet.
