"The Voice" US Season 8 "Live Semi-Final Performances" is about to kick off with the remaining top five semi-finalists to hit the stage tonight in the hope entering next week's finale.
The remaining semi-finalists, Sawyer Fredericks of Team Pharrell, Meghan Linsey of Team Blake, Koryn Hawthorne of Team Pharrell, Joshua Davis of Team Adam, and India Carney of Team Christina are expected to sing two songs each like last week. However, song choices of the singers have not been revealed yet.
Pharrell Williams will go to the semi-final with two contestants while Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine have only one each. It is the American audiences who decide who goes to the next round through their votes.
"The Voice" US Season 8 semi-final performances will be telecast Monday on NBC Television at 8:00 pm EST (6.30 am IST, Tuesday) and it will be live streamed online on NBC's official website.
Last week saw India Carney of Team Christina taking on John Legend and Common's "Glory" and Sam Smith's "Lay Me Down," Joshua Davis sang U2's "Desire" and The Beatles' "In My Life," Koryn Hawthorne took on REM's "Everybody Hurts" and Aerosmith's "Dream On," Kimberly Nichole rendered Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'" and Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana," Meghan Linsey performed James Taylor's "Steamroller Blues" and "Amazing Grace" and Sawyer Fredericks took on Daisy May Erlewine's "Shine On" and Al Green's "Take Me to the River."
Kimberly Nichole and India Carney of Team Christina sang for survival after being placed in the bottom two. Kimberly, who was one of the most consistent performers this season, took on the song, "Seven Nation Army" by The White Stripes and India performed the song, "F—in' Perfect" by Pink. India won Instant Save and progressed into the semi-finals.
