In what came as a shock to many, promising singers - Reagan James and Anita Antoinette – were eliminated from "The Voice" Season 7 on Tuesday after getting least vote from the public.
Anita Antoinette and Ryan Sill of Team Gwen, and Reagan James of Team Blake were placed in the bottom three based on votes they got from the public. So, they were made to perform again for survival.
Reagan took on the song, "I'm Like a Bird" by Nelly Furtado, while Anita sang "The Remedy (I Won't Worry) by Jason Mraz" and Ryan rendered "Collide" by Howie Day. Host Carson Daly announced Ryan as the winner, which meant Reagan and Anita had to leave the competition.
The fact is Reagan was expected to be in the bottom three following her poor performance in the live shows but Anita's rendition of Passenger's "Let Her Go" was good and many would have thought that she should be safe.
Meanwhile, contestants saved by America were Matt McAndrew, Damien, and Chris Jamison of Team Adam, Taylor John Williams and Ryan Sill of Team Gwen, DaNica Shirey and Luke Wade of Team Pharrell, and Craig Wayne Boyd of Team Blake.
Adam Levine is the only coach with all three contestants intact, while Blake has least participant with only one more left in the competition.
America saved seven contestants based on their performances on Monday, while one was given one more chance through Instant Save.
Matt McAndrew of Team Adam sang "Fix You" by Coldplay, Damien of Team Adam sang the song, "You and I" by Stevie Wonder, Luke Wade of Team Pharrell sang Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness," Craig Wayne Boyd of Team Blake performed Johnny Cash's "I Walk the Line," DaNica Shirey of Team Pharrell sang "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston, Taylor John Williams of Team Gwen rendered "Come Together" by The Beatles, and Chris Jamison of Team Adam performed the song, "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars during the Live Shows Week 3 episode.
