Chinese smartphone-maker Vivo has launched a new handset dubbed as X5 Pro in India.
Vivo X5 Pro was originally unveiled way back in May this year. It sports a 2.5D curved glass cover on the both the sides giving a premium feel. To make the phone more durable, the company has incorporated strong stainless steel and aluminum alloy frame around the edges of the device.
Besides the premium build quality, X5 Pro also boasts an advanced eye-scanner technology. It is incorporated in the 8mp front camera for secured unlocking of the phone. Users can also use this feature to lock sensitive folders as well.
Other stipulated features include a 5.2-inch full HD display, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS (with FunTouch UI), Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory and a 2,450mAh battery.
It also houses a 13mp camera with LED flash on the rear side and an 8mp snapper on the front.
Release date and price:
The company has confirmed that X5 Pro will cost ₹27,980 and will be made available in India in mid-August.
Competition:
Vivo X5 Pro will be up against the Xiaomi Mi4, Mi 4i, OnePlus One, Samsung Galaxy S5, Yu Yureka Plus and ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini.
