Virat Kohli is a star cricketer for sure, but his incredible charm makes him fit for Bollywood too. While the gossip about him making his big screen debut with Yash Raj Films has been on for the longest time, fresh reports suggest that the time is possibly here.
"Though the film has Ranbir Kapoor as the main lead, Virat will be seen sharing a few important scenes with Anushka. In fact Virat's role is inspired from his real life. He plays a cricketer in the film," Daily Bhaskar quoted a source as saying.
Since there's been no official announcement on the matter, this could be counted as a speculation.
Interestingly, while girlfriend Anushka Sharma was filming Anurag Kashyap's "Bombay Velvet", the sports star was in Sri Lanka to 'meet' his ladylove. The surprise reportedly left the gorgeous actress flushed and she had to go for 20 retakes for a scene.
Meanwhile, YRF denied rumours about Virat romancing Anushka Sharma in the production house's next. But, Arbaaz Khan expressed an interest in pairing the two in one of his ventures.
"He has presented himself very well, he is good looking. He may not be the conventional hero material but he has a huge female fan following," the actor-turned-filmmaker told NDTV, adding that he would want to rope in Anushka opposite the suave sportsman.
In other news, the couple had been very secretive about their affair until recently when they admitted to being in a relationship. Anushka said talking incessantly about one's love life takes the attention away from the work, whereas Virat opined that the privacy should be respected.
Anushka will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do" alongside Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah.
