Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were spotted together at a popular restaurant in Mumbai Wednesday evening. The duo had reportedly broken up some time ago, but looks like the former star couple are back in a relationship.
Virat and Anushka dined together at Hakkasan in Bandra. Virat was seen in casuals, while Anushka sported a pretty black dress. After spending some time together at the restaurant, Virat and the actress left the venue in different cars.
There were reports that the cricketer and Anushka had mutually agreed to part ways, but the two have apparently kept contact. There were also reports that Virat has been trying to resolve the issues with his lady love, for which he was seeking help from Anushka's brother.
"Virat wants to resolve the differences and get back with Anushka. He is very much in touch with Anushka's brother and is hoping that his relationship is back on track and all issues are sorted," Bollywoodlife had quoted a source as saying.
Moreover, Anushka reportedly congratulates Virat with text messages after all of his good performances on the field, and the cricketer's recent reaction to the trolls on the "Sultan" actress further suggested the two are back in a relationship.
Virat had posted a long message on Instagram, slamming all those who had connected Anushka with his performance, adding that the actress has always given him positivity. "Shame on those people who have been having a go at anushka for the longest time and connecting every negative thing to her. Shame on those people calling themselves educated. Shame on blaming and making fun of her when she has no control over what i do with my sport, [sic]" he had also tweeted.
However, there was another rumour regarding their reported relationship, that suggested Virat and Anushka had actually never broken up but had given each other some space owing to their hectic work schedules. "Anushka is the more pragmatic one between them. They never really broke up but merely took some time off each other. There is a lot on Anushka's plate right now. Her next film (with Salman Khan) is both physically and mentally exhausting. Their decision of staying apart for a while has actually done them good, [sic]" The Times of India had quoted an insider as saying.
With shooting of "Sultan" reaching its conclusion and the ICC T20 World Cup having ended, Anushka and Virat have apparently decided to shift focus towards their relationship.
