Bollywood's popular casting director Mukesh Chhabra is set to make his directorial debut under Sanjay Leela Bhansali's production. The recent buzz is he has roped in Vinod Khanna's third son Sakshi in the film.
Chabbra is tight-lipped about his directorial debut, but has revealed it would be a love story. "It will definitely be a love story, and I am writing and working on many stories at present. Vinod Khanna's son Sakshi Khanna will be launched with this film," he told IANS.
He also said the film could have many good actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpayee and Anil Kapoor. Is Chabbra making a multi-starrer? "As far as this script is shaping up, according to me, it can have many good actors whom you all think should be there. Nawaz (-uddin Siddiqui), Manoj (Bajpayee), Anil Kapoor, Mr (Amitabh) Bachchan, along with lot of new faces (sic)," he said.
After the blockbuster "Bajirao Mastani," this is the next project on Bhansali's hands, but he will not direct it. He has given Chabbra the chance to direct his debut flick, and the casting director has said he is putting his heart and soul into it.
However, Chabbra has also said that he will not leave his original profession."I am a casting director and will continue to remain so, because a father cannot leave his children, and casting is my baby," IANS quoted Chabbra as saying.
Chabbra is not only a casting director, but has also acted in movies like "Gangs of Wasseypur," "Chillar Party," "Kaminey" and "Rang De Basanti." He has been the casting director for hit films like "Haider," "Highway," "Hasee toh Phasee," "Chennai Express," "D-Day," "Ugly," "Gangs of Wasseypur," "Shahid" and recently the yet-to-be-released "Dangal."
