Director Boyapati Srinu's Vinaya Vidheya Rama (VVR) has made superb earnings in its pre-release business and gone on to beat the theatrical rights' record of Ram Charan's previous film Rangasthalam.
Post the success of Rangasthalam, Ram Charan went on to team up with mass film director Boyapati Srinu. This rare combination has created a lot of curiosity about the movie Vinaya Vidheya Rama.
Ram Charan has undergone a complete physical transformation for the film and his furious look and electrifying acting featured in its promos have doubled the viewers' expectations from the flick.
After seeing the hype, many leading distributors were reportedly vying their hands to bag the theatrical rights of Vinaya Vidheya Rama for various areas. With the movie set to hit the screens on January 11, we now hear that the makers have already sold out its distribution rights for all the regions, which have fetched them a record amount of money.
If we are to go by the reports, Vinaya Vidheya Rama has earned Rs 77 crore from its theatrical rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Rs 8.50 crore from rest of India and Rs 9 crore from its overseas rights.
The movie has fetched a total of Rs 94.50 crore of the sale of its global theatrical rights. It has shattered the record of Ram Charan's Rangasthalam, which earned Rs 80 crore from its distribution rights.
Rangasthalam has become a huge success in all the regions across the world and earned decent profit shares to all the distributors. The makers of Vinaya Vidheya Rama have increased the prices of its rights based on the performance of Rangasthalam in each of the areas. It should be seen whether Boyapati Srinu-directed film will recover the distributors' investments and fetch them some profit shares.
