The residents of Argentine village Santa Fe were left appalled after they discovered that seven cows were killed and mutilated in consecutive days. After discovering the mutilated bodies, several villagers have blamed aliens for killing the bovine animals. They have also claimed that they saw mysterious lights on the skies on the night of the killing.
Most witnesses and farm owners residing in nearby areas believe that aliens used advanced laser weapons to kill the cows. To substantiate their claims, they pointed at the strange marks inflicted on the cow's tongue and private parts.
Initial analysis on the mutilated bodies revealed that neither of the cows had complete tongues or flesh around the jaw. The villagers also claimed that there were no indications of knife used for killing.
Meanwhile, a section of people in the area started claiming that chupacabra, a mythical creature in the South American folklore, was behind the attack. According to the villagers, chupacabra often feeds on animal blood and the creature might have started hunting in nearby farms to quench its thirst.
"It seems as though the clean incisions were done with a laser as there is no trace of a knife being used. The cows did not have signs of blood and nothing had appeared to eat them. Some people say chupacabra or aliens did it. Others believe it was rodents. The truth is, the cows are dead and there are no answers as to why," Norberto Bieri, a farm owner, was quoted as saying by Express UK.
However, experts believe that animals like cows usually die in this period of the year due to malnutrition. There is nothing mysterious regarding the death of these cows. They believe that soon after the death of the cows, a rat-like animal named hocicudo comes into action, and often targets soft body parts of the cow like tongue, anus and eyes. As hocicudo eats up these areas, people often mistakenly believe that the body of the animal is cruelly mutilated.
A few weeks ago, a farm owner in Australia had also blamed aliens for the mysterious disappearance of ducks from her farm. Although an investigation was conducted, the real reason behind the disappearance still remains a mystery.
