South Indian audience will get to see a couple of big films in cinema theatres over the Ganesh Chaturthi weekend. Well, four big movies from Tamil, Telugu and Kannada are hitting the screens during the festival.
Vikram's "Iru Mugan," Junior NTR and Mohanlal's "Janatha Garage," Dhanush's "Thodari" and Ganesh's "Mungaru Male 2" are releasing over the weekend from Sept. 2-6. The four big films will be trying to get maximum number of screens for their release to reach out to the large section of audience.
"Iru Mugan" and "Janatha Garage" are expected to walk away with huge number of screens due to the presence of the big names in the cast. "Thodari" is expected to get a good number of screens in Tamil Nadu and outside the country, whereas "Mungaru Male 2" is restricted mainly to Karnataka.
'Iru Mugan'
"Iru Mugan" is a science fiction thriller, written and directed by Anand Shankar. The film has generated a lot of curiosity with its teaser and trailer. Nayanthara and Nithya Menen are female leads in which Chiyaan plays two roles.
'Janatha Garage'
Junior NTR and Mohanlal-starrer "Janatha Garage" is an action movie, which is written and directed by Koratala Siva. Samantha and Nithya Menen are the female leads in the film, which has Kajal Aggarwal doing a special number.
"Thodari"
Prabhu Solomon's "Thodari" has Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh in the leads. Ganesh Venkatraman has enacted a pivotal role in the flick.
"Mungaru Male 2"
It is a sequel to all-time biggest Kannada box office hit "Mungaru Male." Ganesh is doing the lead in its second instalment as well. However, Pooja Gandhi has been replaced by Neha Shetty. The interesting part of the cast is Ravichandran, who plays the father of Golden Star. The latest flick has drawn viewers' attention with its teaser and music.
