"I" is one of the most-awaited films of 2015. The magnum opus is carrying big expectations as Shankar is one of the best directors in Indian cinema and has a good track record of hit films in his career including Vikram's "Anniyan," Kamal Haasan's "Indian," Arjun's "Mudhalvan" and Rajinikanth's "Robot."
The second-time collaboration of Vikram and Shankar has generated huge expectations surrounding the project. The first look teaser and the trailer have created a big hype about the film and it needs to be seen if the content will strike a chord with the audience.
The pre-release business of "I" has been fantastic with the film receiving whopping amounts for its distribution rights. Its Telugu film rights have reportedly been acquired by NV Prasad and RB Choudary for a huge amount of 30 crore, which is the highest for any dubbed film in Telugu.
"I" is gearing up for a massive release during Sankranti/Pongal festival period. An official announcement on the exact release date is still awaited.
