The work on the teaser of Vijay's "Theri" is underway, but the video that was expected to be released on 26 January may not be ready by Republic Day.
The buzz on social media is that the teaser release plans of "Theri" has undergone changes once again. Now, it is said that the video will appear before the audience in the first week of February.
Industry tracker Haricharan tweeted, "50 sec teaser of #Theri on its way. Most likely to be released in the first week of Feb." Originally, the teaser was supposed to be released for Pongal, but due to incompletion of the shooting, the release date was pushed.
Later, it was learnt that the teaser of "Theri" would be released as a Republic Day treat. However, the makers have not confirmed the news and they are expected to announce the exact date shortly.
The team apparently started working on the teaser soon after wrapping up the shooting. The film unit required at least 10 days to be ready with the clip. The film unit wants to spend enough time to ensure that the video-clip lives up to the audience's expectations. So, they seem to be in no hurry for the release.
"Theri" is an action-packed commercial entertainer in which Vijay plays the role of a cop. Samantha and Amy Jackson play the female lead in the film. The special attraction of the film is that Ilayathalapathy's daughter Divya is making her acting debut in the flick. She reportedly shot her portions recently in Ladakh and it is said to be a cameo.
Directed by Atlee Kumar of "Raja Rani" fame, "Theri" is produced by Kalaipuli D Dhanu.
