Many speculations were made about Vijay's character in his upcoming movie "Puli". Now, it has been confirmed that he will also play the role of a dwarf in "Puli".
A line in a song of the album confirms the news. The words "Jingilia...jingilia..Chithira Kullan Kalakuraney" clearly indicate that the actor is playing a dwarf's character in the flick.
The role of dwarf is not new for Kollywood as Universal Star Kamal Haasan made it famous in his classic "Apoorva Sagotharagal".
Speculations are rife that Vijay will be seen in three roles in "Puli". It is believed that Nandita Shwetha, Hansika Motwani and Shruti Haasan will romance his prince, ordinary man and dwarf characters, respectively.
As the characters are strikingly different, it appears that Vijay has put in a lot of effort into "Puli". The makeup for each character consumes a lot of time, but his looks have managed to garner positive response from the audience.
The first look, movie stills and teaser have generated positive response from the movie buffs. Apart from Ilayathalapathy's character, we have some information about Sudeep and Sridevi's characters as well.
While yesteryear's sensational actress Sridevi will be playing the role of a Queen, Sudeep will be essaying the character of her son and the Commander of her Kingdom. Hansika Motwani will be seen as her daughter and Kiccha's sister.
The audio, which was released on 2 August, has won the hearts of the audience. Devi Sri Prasad's tracks are mesmerising and they will have better impact when watched with visuals.
The movie, directed by Chimbudevan, will release on 17 September for Ganesh Chaturthi.
