Ilayathalapathy Vijay's "Puli" teaser has beaten the record of "Yennai Arindhaal" on Youtube. Yes, the video-clip of Ilayathalapathy starrer has crossed the 2-million mark in about 21 hours.

"Puli" teaser was released on Sunday (21 June) noon at 2 pm. In less than 24 hours, it recorded over one million. Now, the video-clip has crossed the two-million mark. Ajith Kumar's "Yennai Arindhaal" had reached this mark in 48 hours and the Vijay starrer has convincingly beaten it.

However, "Yennai Arindhaal" had received 54,000 likes and it is way ahead of "Puli", which has got close to 37,000 likes. We should note that the hits from the only official pages of both the films have been taken into the consideration. At least, a million each hits have got for the unofficial pages for both the films.

The reason for such a massive response for "Puli" video is believed to be the multi-starrer factor. Due to the presence of stars like Sudeep, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani, people, without the language barrier, have seen the teaser.

It may be recalled that "Yennai Arindhaal" had beaten Vijay's "Kaththi", which had got a little above one million hits on Youtube in 48 hours. Interestingly, the Vijay starrer clip had surpassed the record of Ajith's "Veeram", which had got about 8.3 lakh hits in 48 hours.

Now, people are curiously awaited the teaser release of Ajith's untitled next movie to see whether it can surpass the hits of the Vijay's latest film. If we go by the trend, it should beat as the teasers of the actors have consistently performed well film after film.

Coming back to "Puli", it is a fantasy-action movie, which is also loaded with comedy. The huge-budget film is directed by Chimbudevan.
