A promo song from Vijay's "Puli" was released on Monday, 14 September by Sony Music on Youtube.
It is 2.25-minute clip in which Devi Sri Prasad will be seen dancing and crooning the number and the music director has also written the lyrics for the song.
The video has arrived at a time when the people are expecting the trailer release of the movie, which is likely to hit the internet on 17 September as a Ganesh Chathurthi treat for the Kollywood audience.
"Puli" is a fantasy adventure film, written and directed by Chimbu Deven. The "Thuppakki" actor will be seen in triple roles in the forthcoming movie, which will release for Diwali.
The makers want to release "Puli" on 1 October, which will be a four-day Gandhi Jayanti weekend for the flick. The opening weekend is crucial for the film's success at the box office as the makers have shelled out over Rs 100 crore on this project.
Apart from Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Kiccha Sudeep, Hansika Motwani and Sridevi Kapoor play key roles in the flick. Prabhu, Nandita Shweta, Vijayakumar, Thambi Ramaiah, Aadukalam Naren, Imman Annachi and others are also part of the cast.
Meanwhile, the video-clip has got an overwhelming response from the audience. The fans of Vijay have praised the song teaser to heavens. On social media sites, they have started trends with multiple hash tags.
