The audio launch of the Telugu movie "Policeodu," which is the dubbed version of Vijay's Tamil film "Theri," has been postponed due to some "unavoidable" situation.
It is well-known that producer Dil Raju has bought the rights of "Policeodu" for a fancy price. He has planned for a massive release under his banner, Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC). Recently, he announced that the music of the movie would be released at a grand audio launch function to be held in Hyderabad April 6.
But producer Dil Raju has changed his mind just a couple of days before the event and decided to delay the scheduled event due to unknown reason. The boss of Sri Venkateswara Creations wrote its Twitter page Tuesday afternoon, "#Policeodu audio launch is postponed due to unavoidable reasons."
Like "Theri," "Policeodu" is said to have seven soundtracks, which are composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Think Music India, which has acquired the rights of both the versions, is releasing the audio album of the Telugu film into the market. However, the delay in its release has come as shocking and sad news for Vijay's fans in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Written and directed by Atlee Kumar, "Policeodu" is touted to be a family entertainer with high action quotient. Vijay is seen in three different get-ups, while Samantha and Amy Jackson appear as his love interest in the movie, which is scheduled to release in theatres April 14 with the original film "Theri."
Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson have a decent fan following in the Telugu states. Director Atlee's last venture Raja Rani was released in Telugu and has become a hit at the box office. The film has got him much-needed attention in the states. The teaser of "Policeodu" was released on YouTube Monday and has been viewed 95,000 times in 24 hours, seemingly a decent response to the dubbed film.
