The new poster of Vijay's "Kaththi" will be released on Friday (22 August).
It has been confirmed on the "Kaththi" official Facebook page, "Thalapathy fans,The Brand new poster of #Kaththi will be releasing on 22nd Aug 2014.Yes,coming Friday Get Ready!!," read the post.
"Kaththi" shooting is nearing completion and is all set to be wrapped up by August end. The film's audio launch will happen in September. Buzz is that the music release will take place on 22 September in London, but there is no official confirmation in this regard.
Film's music is composed by Anirudh who is working in a Vijay film for the first time. Anirudh has revealed that there are a lot of surprises in "Kaththi" album, which has raised the expectations among the audience. Vijay will be rendering a song in the film, which is expected to be recorded soon.
"#Kaththi audio is almost done.. A lot of big surprises in it for fans :) Vijay sir's song is also ready and I will be recording him in the coming days.. Have planned to release the audio in mid-September.. We will announce the final date very soon! Our whole team is eagerly waiting to share the #Kaththialbum with you all:)," tweeted Anirudh.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, "Kaththi" has Vijay appearing in dual roles. Buzz is that one of his roles will be that of a youth leader. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
Samantha plays the female lead, while Bollywood actor Neil Nithin Mukesh is the villain. Comedian Sathish is also part of the big budget entertainer.
The film's first-look and motion poster, which was released for Vijay's birthday on 22 June, had received overwhelming response from fans. The motion poster landed in a controversy with social media users claiming that the video bears a resemblance to New York Times – Sabah newspaper commercial advertisement, which was released three years ago. Despite the claims, the motion poster was a big hit and fetched more than 21 lakh hits.
"Kaththi" is produced by Ayngaran International and Lyca Productions. The film is edited by Sreekar Prasad and the cinematography is handled by George C Williams.
The Vijay starrer is getting ready for Diwali release this October.
