The promo of Vijay's "Kaththi" making video has been released by the film's makers.
Directed by Murugadoss, "Kaththi" is touted to be an action thriller film with Vijay appearing in dual roles. The film also has Samantha, Neil Nithin Mukesh and comedian Sathish in pivotal roles.
"Kaththi" music is composed by Anirudh, while the film is produced by Ayngaran International along with Lyca Productions.
The Vijay starrer has landed in trouble with some organisations claiming that the owner of Lyca Productions has business links with the family members of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse. The groups had demanded that the film should not be released until the producers are changed.
In a bid to clarify on the issues surrounding "Kaththi", the makers met with mediapersons on Tuesday (16 September) and released a statement. They have given clarification on five issues revolving around the film. To read their clarification, click HERE.
The makers have confirmed that "Kaththi" is slated to hit the screens on Diwali. The film's shooting is progressing well and is expected to be completed soon.
The much-awaited audio launch of the film is all set to take place on 18 September in Chennai. The entire cast of "Kaththi", including Vijay, Samantha, Anirudh and director Murugadoss are likely to attend the function. Scores of Vijay fans are also expected to be present for the launch event.
There are huge expectations for "Kaththi" audio as Anirudh is scoring the tracks for the first time for a Vijay film.
The composer has stated that there will be lots of surprises in "Kaththi" album. Recently, he revealed that legendary singer K. J. Yesudas has rendered a song for the album. "Blessed and proud that the legendary Shri K.J. Yesudas has sung for us in #Kaththi. Divine experience indeed," Anirudh tweeted.
Ilayathalapathy Vijay has also crooned a song titled "Selfie Pulla". A few days ago, the song was leaked on the Internet and went viral on social networking sites. It was found that the song was not the original version rendered by Vijay, but just a rough cut version sung by Anirudh.
Still, the song created a huge buzz surrounding "Kaththi" album. Now, fans are eagerly waiting to hear it in Vijay's voice. The song is expected to turn out to be a huge hit.
