Since the makers of "Kaththi," Ayngaran International and Lyca Productions, are based in London, the buzz is that the film's audio launch will happen there. The entire cast and crew of "Kaththi" are expected to attend the audio release function. However, the makers are yet to make an official announcement of the exact audio release date. The film's trailer is also expected to be launched on the same day along with the audio.
"Kaththi" music is composed by Anirudh and the film will reportedly have five songs and a theme music. Earlier, the first looks and motion poster of "Kaththi" were released for Vijay's birthday amid huge response from fans. The motion poster, with exclusive theme music, has crossed 1.5 million views on the video sharing site YouTube. To look at the motion poster, click HERE.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for "Kaththi" audio release as it is the first time Anirudh has worked with director Murugadoss and Vijay.
The shooting of "Kaththi" is progressing well and around 80 percent has reportedly been wrapped up. Once the team completes the shooting, post production work will begin in full swing.
The film has Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead, while Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukhesh makes his debut in Tamil as a villain. The big budget entertainer also has comedian Sathish and Bengali actor Tota Roy in supporting roles. Vijay is reportedly doing a dual role in the film and his character names are Kathiresan and Jeevanandham.
A lot is riding on "Kaththi" as the film marks the second-time collaboration of Vijay and director Murugadoss. Their last release "Thuppakki" was a big hit at the box office and thus expectations on "Kaththi" are also very high. The action entertainer is likely to take fantastic openings upon its release as both Vijay and Murugadoss have huge fan following for their films. However, it needs to be seen if the film will be able to impress the audience with the content and repeat the success of "Thuppakki" at the box office.
"Kaththi" is slated to hit the screens for Diwali 2014.
